PLEASE dont take this the wrong way,
i do think that this is BS and not fair. I fully respect LEO, its because of them we are able to live the life we have.
But the bottom line is he broke the rules and as a LEO he should know beter. does he deserve what he got? maybe not, but i do think he should be held accountable for his actions, how, i have no clue but i think it is important for peolice officers to dress alike. i mean hell in highschool in baseball well all had to wear our socks the same way and needless to say that it is more important for LEO to dress alike.

^^ Yes he broke the rule but was it THAT serious to make the punishment so harsh? It's a freaking shirt. I can understand if this happened to some rookie but this guy was in the force for decades. That's absolutelly BS.

BTW, during Euro, one of the cops in Zagreb decided to wear a croatian national soccer shirt (to support the national team), instead of the standard blue shirt. He was applauded by the citizens and obviously, his superiors didn't mind it.

It was the last day of his 35 year career, he was probably at the station, wearing a shirt that he his department had worn for his entire career up until less than 3 years ago (and that the department is GOING BACK TO IN JANUARY), out of respect for fallen officers.

The bottom line is the administration of the New Orleans Police Department has their heads far, far up their collective ***es if they are going to give a 35 year veteran sergeant on his last day such a hassle for honoring his fallen comrades on his final shift.

If that would have happened here, there would have been zero issue; it would have been recognized for what it was.

Yes,

YES, YES this is the same Police Department that was confiscating guns after Katrina. I guess they thought they were in Russia, and evidentally they still are.

New Orleans, one of those places I'd never live. You can keep your "chocolate city".

As if New Orleans needs any more bad press. Load of crap......LEO's get it from all sides; the public, administration and criminals. They never get a break and after 35 years of service they can do better then put a finger in the eye of an officer that served all those years.

Plz GOD wipe it clean!!!!!
