Another eye opening experience

So my Brother in law got the idea in his head that his wife needs to start carrying a handgun. He did some research and decided to get her a little Kel Tec .380. Well, last night he handed her the gun and told her to go ahead and practice pulling the trigger. Before I could even get the first word out (I was wanting to tell her to check the chamber) I hear BANG! The dumb **** handed her a loaded gun, and now they have a nice new hole through 2 walls, a hole the size of a golf ball in their brand new marble shower, it blew out the glass shower door and broke the wall mirror on the other side of their bathroom before stopping. Luckily everyone was ok, other than his wife almost having a heart attack. Long story short I got pissed and yelled at him. I also took all 3 of his new handguns away from him and told him that he could have them back after they have signed up for and completed a few safety courses. PEOPLE, please pay attention when handeling firearms and ALWAYS follow the number 1 rule of ownership and treat all firearms as if they are loaded at ALL TIMES!

WOW, I would have hated to be your brother left alone in that house after that escapade. Glad all is well, hopefuly they learned a very imortant lesson, unfortunately, they probably learned it the hard way.

Sheesh...expensive mistake, but could have been much, much worse. Glad everyone's ok. Hope one of your "yells" included the back of your hand. I 'spect they both learned well a valuable lesson that day.

Wow that could have been a real bad situation! I hope the blown-out marble educates them of the danger of guns and the awesome power in their hands, and to never treat it casually. You were justified in confiscating their guns until they learn how to responsibly own one.

I finally just broke the news to my wife (his sister). We were trying not to get her involved but I am so steaming mad about the whole situation that I just could not keep it from her any longer. I have never seen a women so mad in my life! She has been down there for the last hour telling them both how stupid they are!

How dumb...

I hope he didn't make his wife into an anti-gunner by doing that.

Honestly, I don't think she is going to allow the guns back into the house.

Yeah, like the guy's wife isn't beating him enough.

I'd have to find somewhere safe to sleep to keep my nuts out of a vice if I was in that guy's shoes...
