I wasn't really planning to buy a gun today, but the boss sent us home early and I went gun shopping. My old .22 is about worn out and has given me problems the last several times I've taken it out, so I've been considering a new one for a while. It's been hard since the old Higgins was my dad's before he died, but it will still be in the rack. I ordered a Savage Mark II FSS to take up the plinking duties for my retired old friend that taught me how to shoot years ago. It's a composite stock bolt action with a 10 round mag and stainless steel barrel. I actually ordered it from Bass Pro Shops; they had the best price (by far, or I would use a local shop) and could get it the quickest.

Bought a MAK90 today with a few mags and a 75 round chicom drum.
Next on the list is to get it "de-banned" cause the stock looks like crap. I mean it's a good looking stock but I just don't like the way it looks. It doesn't look "AK" enough for me.

I bought the wife a pair of AK's in kit form. She found out when Big Brown knocked on the door
