We have a massive problem with American children today joining real gangs using real guns. What's the difference?

They apparently believe that kids are being able to turn their airsoft guns into real firearms... Which makes no sense at all.

Also, even if they were able to convert them, how are they getting the ammo?

well, a kids father ratted him out to the cops because he found 11 rounds of ammo under his bed.

What the hell is wrong with society when parent's call the cops on their own kids. My dad would probably pat me on the back then ask me how i got them.

Have to disagree with you on this in principle. The reason we have had shootings at schools in the past was because the parents and friends of the offenders did nothing to report it to the police before it happened. If your kid is doing something illegal get him straitened out asap. If you need to involve the police so be it. I don't think guns or ammo should be illegal but if my kid had something illegal he or she would be in some serious trouble with me and possibly with the police depending on how serious it was.

not to mention that i doubt the cheap plastic used for airsofts would basically turn the gun into a bomb in their hands the second they pulled the trigger. Plastic toys are not designed to withstand the force of a real bullet.

i see what ure saying. I was pointing out how dumb it is for a PARENT to rat out a kid. Where are the parenting skills? If i was doing something illegal, my dad would woop me and deal with me, not turn me in to the police.

Umm, I think the reality that the UK has banned guns, yet now has a problem with "replicas" becomeing "real". They also now have a problem with knife violence. So taking away guns just moved the weapon of choice. Economists call this substitution. When it comes to violence, substitution will continue untill there are no more rocks, sticks or fists. They are gutless and don't understand the cause of their problems and resort to blaming inanimate objects for their problems. They should focus on their cultural and social problems, not guns, knives or carbon dioxide.

Further, our "thug" problems in this country are the result of bad ecnomic policy and the destruction of the father figure in the black home (welfare). I know it is not PC, but if you look at the statistics, black on black crime is the highest demographic indicator.

The UK is facing some real challenges. They swalllowe the socialist pill and now are finding out that it is poison.

okay, so what does that have to do with kids? They're not the ones doing the converting. They're not the ones buying them. Do they have proof of this?

Britain is so stupid, it's almost impossible to even fathom it. If people won't be able to get it, they will make it. That goes for anything, guns, knives, etc. And using kids in this manner is simply another typical liberal moron taking things to extreme once again.

You forgot entirely that a lot of it also has to do with drugs, and gang warfare which, again, is related to drugs. Also, I don't know about the rest of the country, but in California, now we have Mexican gangs from Mexico exterminating black gangs. Again, over turf to deal drugs.

I'm not sure they've found that out yet. I don't think they will until things get a whole lot worse and they've run out of things to ban.
