Some of these posts are pathetic. To call Brits gutless or to say their kids are not smart is awfully hypocritical. Look inward to our own country. We have a massive problem with American children today joining real gangs using real guns. What's the difference? Children are killing children just as much here. Converting a replica gun is completely unrelated.

Well, since the next to the last thing said in that little video clip is "replica guns are being converted into real guns" I dont see how its completely unrelated.

I don't know how you convert a replica into a "real gun" anyway.

Actually I used the wrong word. I meant "irrelevant" not "unrelated" It's irrelevant that these were replicas. A big problem still exists with kids using real guns.

Actually juvenile violent crime is down and has been going down for the last 10 years. Crime overall is coming down. What is pathetic is how the UK and our own gun control freaks in the country go about trying to solve a problem.

The 'barb' on the revolvers is filed off, (semi auto) the firing pin channel is welded up, the bores are partially filled and or welded and there is usually a hole drilled in the barrel or breech somewhere. Unlike in the US, the receivers are not destroyed. For long guns, bolt actions are fine and semi autos typically have the gas system mod'd (AKs/SVDs/SKSs- have the gas piston cut off) so it will not move the bolt carrier, hence its no a straight pull bolt action. They also convert the Makarovs, 1911s, AKs and such in to (get this) BB guns...but its still has most of it original parts. Junker (pronounced yunker) air rifles are not importable to the US because they do not meet the 'deactivated' standards of the ATF...cut receivers. We can however get the converted Makarovs now..whoopie!
