California Members Please Take Action!

This is an update on Assembly Bill 2062...

Dangerous Anti-Gun Bills Moving Forward in California Senate!

Please Make Your Voice Heard Today!

Three anti-gun bills are making their way through the California Senate and it is imperative that you voice your opposition to them.

Assembly Bill 2062 was passed by the Senate Public Safety Committee on Tuesday, June 17. The bill now heads to the Senate Appropriations Committee for its consideration.

Sponsored by State Assembly Member Kevin De Leon (D-45), AB2062 would make it a crime to privately transfer more than 50 rounds of ammunition per month, even between family and friends, unless you are registered as a "handgun ammunition vendor" in the Department of Justice's database. Ammunition retailers would have to be licensed and store ammunition in such a manner that it would be inaccessible to purchasers. The bill would also require vendors to keep a record of the transaction including the ammunition buyer's name, driver's license, the quantity, caliber, type of ammunition purchased, and right thumbprint, which would be submitted to the Department of Justice. All ammunition sales in the state of California would be subject to a $3 per transaction tax. Lastly, mail order ammunition sales would be prohibited. Any violator of AB2062 would be subject to civil fines.

I'm curious about one thing--how often do anti-gun bills actually get defeated in California? Are there enough pro-gun state representatives in the Assembly to make a true fight out of it, or is passage almost a foregone conclusion?

Good luck California! The only way you all are going to get this nonsense stopped permanently is to stop re-electing these fools!

I hope all you XDTalkers from Cali will contact these folks and tell them to please knock it off and respect your rights as a law abiding citizen of the United States.

Update: Spoke To Senator Dave Coxs' Office

Dave Cox does oppose this bill but his office did give me the Appropriations Committee names to call and contact. It's very easy, just dial the number and let them know you urge them to oppose AB-2062.

If this bill passes the Apporpriations committee it goes to the Senate floor, not sure what the chances of it passing there are but with the way this state is ANTI 2nd AMENDMENT it probably has a good chance of getting passed.

Take 5 minutes, call the numbers, you'll be glad you did.

Call these numbers...

-Cedillo
-Corbett
-Florez
-Kuehl (definitely)
-Oropeza
-Simitian
-Yee
-Torlakson

I came up with the idea of a million gun march on DC if the 2nd is ever really threatened ... It is time for gun owners in California to try a different tactic ... You are being overrun with a gun-confiscation mentality and the tactics you have been using obviously don't work.

START A RALLY!
GO DOOR TO DOOR WITH A PETITION!
Deliver the petition at the rally!!!
or relegate yourselves to a very limited future ability to do much of anything. How many freak'n cameras are in that state and you guys & gals can't even get any air time on TV Do something different before your states mentality overflows and Arizona, Nevada and a few other states are required to show you how it is done.

Do it before you end up like these people
