Used to store extra cases of beer in my garage in San Rafael, CA. Had to check when opeing them of the little Black Widows. One day, someone stole my bike out of my garage along with a case of beer. I hope the S.O.B. bot bit with one of my unwanted pets!
It was a monthly routine to spray down the garage and the outside foundation areas. Saw plenty of them in the garden all year long.

You should "milk" the venom and put a drop in your hollowpoints, seal them with wax or something. NOW you are set!
You might want to deal with that spider soon, cuz if she gets out, she'll come looking for you, and she'll be pissed!

I'd have my house professionally exterminated, and watch what chemical they actually use- maybe you can buy it yourself. BWs are a fact of life, unfortunately. Nice specimen.
Spiders are like snakes to me, there are 4 types: - Big ones - Small ones - Alive ones - Dead ones

Be careful spraying wettable powders on dark surfaces as they will leave a white film, and if you can get any of these products mentioned above read the label closely they are no joke. Last edited by BEEFCAKE-NMCB1; 06-16-2008 at 04:04 PM. |

I grew up in AZ and when I was a kid I would catch black widow spiders in my dad's tool shed. I would put a couple in a jar and watch them fight to the death. Once you put two together they will go at each other instantly. I would also take my mothers hair spray and spray the hell out of them. Once they were stiff and dead I would leave them for my favorite teacher to find in her pencil drawer. I know I was a sick kid
