If you have a CA CCW but travel frequently, you're kinda screwed, as OR, NV, and WA do not recognize CA's CCW.
However, an out of state Utah CCW is recognized by WA, NV, and WY. So with a CA and UT CCW, you're covered for every state west of the Rockies, minus OR. If you travel a lot in the western US, $200 for a 5 year permit might be worth it. I have read it is not difficult to get a non-resident OR CCW though... just haven't actually pursued it yet. ~ Centerfire |
