This place is going to hell, need my ltcf!

Went out to walmart in the next big town over with my girlfriend around 12am last night because we were bored and wanted to pick up a few things. Upon getting there, the parking lot was filled with wanna be thugs and punks. Don't pay much mind to it, I've been seeing it for a while now, and I feel confident enough to handle myself with my hands vs one or two or maybe even 3 guys. However, upon entering the store we were doing out thing when a group of 20 something black males decided to start getting loud and obnoxious in order to get our attention/get kicks by harassing a white couple. Mind you im 22. I know the games some of these punks like to play so it was obvious to me what they were trying to do, we just continued on our way not bothering to look at them. By the time we get to the register theyre ahead of us, harassing all sorts of people. Then they started "mean mugging" me, so i finally looked over at the guy and stared him down. Then after looking him in the eye for about 10 seconds he realized im not gunna deal with his bull****, so he started asking me if I knew where to get any drugs at to save himself. I just creased my lips and shook my head no. Now I'm only 5'11" 230 lb's, I can handle myself but both these guys were like 6'5" 200lb. By the time we got out to the parking lot the numbers of those mentioned before had increased. We just continued walking to the car where there was someone doing something shady standing next to the car next to mine. I put my hand in my pocket and had a hold on my knife, walked my girlfriend to her door and sat her inside, then walked around and the guy moved away and got inside the car. This place has gone to hell, I live in the poconos, which has come to be known as the 6th borough of new york. Mind you, I'm from Long Island myself, but these people are of a different ilk. Theyre scum, I'll say it outright loud and clear. Those guys were obviously hopped up on some type of drug, adorned in gang clothing and beaded status necklaces.
I remember even 2 years ago, none of this existed, this type of people were in the area but the numbers were so low that they never came out in public like this. Now I have to worry about me and my girlfriends life when we decide to go into town to do some shopping? It's bullsh!t, and this is why I applied for my LTCF. I'm not going to change my routine of life because some scumbags moved into the area, this is exactly what they want. Well I'll be armed now, and continuing to do what I've done every day of my life for the last 22 years, and thats whatever a law abiding citizen wants to do.

I avoid walmart at all costs, but if I have to go there late at night I open carry.

You can open carry in PA until your permit approval comes in the mail.

Where, specifically, is this Walmart in the Poconos. Some friends of ours have a cabin near the southeastern side of Lake Wallenpaupack off of 507 near the Paupack Hills Golf and Country Club.

I hope you get your ltcf, but even if you do, you'd be better of avoiding situations that are likely to involve confrontations. Better off going to Wal-mart earlier when the thugs aren't around.

My dad is waiting for them to build the rail line from Scranton, PA to New York then that whole area will go to hell. He's been stocking up just in case. He has a fire watch tower on his property so he can sit up there and pick them off. Haha.

JT I know we can Open Carry here in PA, however I have to drive to WalMart, which means transportation in a vehicle is a factor. I've heard that in order to OC in other locations you need to have ammo and gun seperated as if going to the range. That being said, If the police were called I'm sure I'd be f*cked because im transporting a weapon and not going to/from the range. I don't think its worth the risk of getting in legal trouble. If I was walking from a location near walmart, to walmart, and back to that location then it would be different, but if the police know a vehicle is involved I might be in for a bad time.
