Took the Mountain Bike out today.

Finally broke it out with the good weather. Did some on road/off road riding. Wow, will this help me get the lard out my butt. I haven't ridden since last year and boy am I out of shape. Still had fun on the trail though. It was short and sweet, got the heart rate up, and my legs, well my legs have the consistency of cooked noodles.

My specialized seems to be holding up pretty good. I need to take it in to have the once over. I did have a slight tick near the front wheel. Not sure what that was. I may toy with it tmrw.

Thanks. Only problem is the tires are very aggressive, so they aren't too efficient on smooth pavement. That's normal though.

Tick near the front wheel? Possibly your brake caliper not exactly aligned with the rotor. Also check your front spokes - just grab a handful and make sure none are too loose. You DID take off the front reflector, didn't you?

You clearly need to start looking at big boy bikes.

Go to a dedicated bike shop.

Didn't think about the spokes. Ill check them tmrw. I was too pooped to closely examin things tonight.

Dasani, I'm a big guy also. That's why I chose that particular model. You need something with a beefy frame. As mentioned, go to a bike shop. Department store bikes are a total POS. Expect to pay around $300 for a decent entry level bike.

Kona makes a good bike for big guys, I think the model is the hauss.

KONAWORLD.COM - 2007 BIKES - MOUNTAIN BIKES, ROAD BIKES + MORE

This one (2007) model if you can find em. I'd think you could get for about $700. Very decent bike - used to have them at my former bike shop.

Reno dealers:
