+1. Hardrock is pretty good for larger folks, especially the Pro (with disc brakes). Just make sure that front fork is set up right. Sometimes when mfg put forks on, if its spring preload, they'll leave the stock spring rates - fine for a 150-180lbs person, not so good if you're over 220lbs. Some front forks just aren't right specs to handle the forward weight of larger folks, will dive really bad when you go downhill. And if you ever have a pretty hard front impact...I've seen a few blown seals on front forks on the larger sized bikes that didn't have the right front fork spec for larger folks. If its for paved bike trails and light trail riding, its not an issue, but if you ride on mtb trails, beware.

Good exercise, I need to drop about 30 pounds myself.
I used to ride the bridal trails until I was told I could get into big trouble if I got caught. Ran into a couple of coyotes, startled the heck outta' me.

What do you pack when you ride?
The Glock 19?

Its where the rich people who own horses can walk them throughout the city metro parks. They're fun to ride mountain bikes on because of the uneven, and gravel/dirt filled paths.
