I saw "LA Times" and thought 'Ooohhh, boy. Heeere we go," But considering the source, a surprisingly objective and not-terribly-written piece. A few standard "journalistic mistakes." "Clips" loaded with "bullets." And even an XD-35. Most be a top-secret Springfield prototype in an unknown wildcat cartridge.

Yeah no kidding, but I have to agree with madbadger, overall I thought the article was pretty well written. It didn't make the people who open carry look like vigilantes or anything in a negative way that I could see.

Xd35?

Where can I get one of those?

Good article.

I think more and more about open carrying.

Good article. What is an XD-35? I assume it was a typo for a 45.

Look at all of the moonbats coming unhinged about this article.

That is MY XD 35!!! (supposed to be a 45 of course) Yes, I am Scott Thompson.

A couple other mistakes in my section. I was a gun owner for over a year before meeting my wife, and I had my conceal permit for about a year before meeting her -- I did not go out and get it the day after the incident mentioned...

And he called me gangly... maybe if I lost 30 pounds I would be gangly...

Overall not a bad article though...

A decent article. Definately helps people see a different side to firearms in general. Kind of curious about the shotgun that was open carried. Unfortunately, there will always be idiots who get their hands on a gun and make the rest of us look bad.

I haven't open carried in public yet. It definately would be more comfortable to wear a pistol outside than try to conceal it inside the waistbelt.
