This is what I use. Just pick up a couple of furring strips from your home depot and depending on the size of your target a piece of cardboard.

Here is one I made out of 1" PVC. I have the dimensions set up to hold a standard IPSC target. At our club we use old wheels with a small vertical post welded to it. Thus the steel bottom extension with a eye bolt to snug it in place. The vertical posts are slotted almost the entire length on a table saw and are not glued in place so they can replaced after a oops.

ryann, I have an idea. Why don't you use that truck parked in the driveway as a target; after all, it is just a Dodge. That way you didn't have to make anything and there is more to shoot.

notice the wooden stands to the left holding the paper bulls eyes??

I made those in the desert in about 10 minutes. used my trusty cordless rigid circular saw, hammer, and nails.

I do not have a close up...

btw.. I have heavy electrical experience as well. I aint afraid to use a saw and hammer

yes, we DID clean up all of our targets and the extra trash there in the wash when we left.

1 1/2" PCV tubing, 2 1 1/2" PVC Elbows,1 8ft 2x2. Cut a piece of PVC ~13" long, Cut 2 more pieces~ 18" long (you can adjust these dimensions for what ever target size you will be using. Attach all three pieces using the elbows with glue or screws (Long lengths on the sides). You now have a U shape holder with a flat bottom.. Cut the 2x2 in half and saw/knock the corners of of the ends of both 2x2 up ~ 8-10" so that the fit inside the PVC uprights. Drill 2 holes in the horizontal piece of PVC (make sure that the end pieces/uprights are verticle). I use 10 inch spikes down through the drilled holes, just hammer them in! I staple a piece of cardboard the the 2x2 uprights and I'm good to go. Very cheap to make works great.... until you hit the uprights... by mistake of course!

Oh, I didn't say I was afraid to use a saw and hammer (or a screw gun) it's just easier for me to grab an old real estate sign and some duct tape out of the garage to use for target holders.

I have found the best target holder to be the local libtard. I try not to miss on purpose but sometimes I fail.

Kev, I had one for 10yrs. and with what I went thru with the 1/2 ton brake pads the idiots put on my 3/4 ton truck, I'm entitled to joke about it.

ryann, I'm not jealous of anyone who has a Dodge; just pity.
