My quesion about years was a reference to how many years of service you have completed thus far. For all the good/bad that they do ... They don't hire off the streets. So YES ... You might even want to rent Clear & Present Danger and pay attention to the people working for the drug cartel. Because when the wars are not happening you'll need to do something, and the CIA/DEA/FBI etcetera already have some good people, and the higher-ups in Blackwater will be watching out for themselves as the pink slips are issued.

If I am out of line, please get a lot more specific. But honestly, from what you've wrote ... I think a little internal reflection about the future might be a good thing.
Do some reading SpecialForces.net - and talk to a recruiter. It will be good for your resume, regardless of what you do in the future.

I should have worded it differently. I meant that i would like my career to be with some sort of private contracting group, not just BW.

I currently don't have any years under my belt now, but tons of proffesional training.

Hey, guys! Look at the bright side: If the Feds ever send Blackwater against you, chances are good that your state's National Guard and your local law enforcers will be on your side.

And since Blackwater isn't official US military, fighting them technically doesn't count as treason. You can hold the moral high ground to even against the die-hard loyalists.

In fact, if Blackwater ever DID mobilize in my state, Utah State's legal code would define THEM as the traitors. Pretty much means Blackwater's screwed.

Read Empire by Orson Scott Card. Throws out a situation where the Left attacks the Right in a new civil war. He might have predicted more than he knew. It's a quick read, I finished it in about a day. It's entirely fiction and encorporates only slightly some of his Sci-Fi roots.

Sounds as if any mobilization of any organized group against the Citizens of the United States, would be considered a traitorous act against my sovereignty as a citizen. Therefore, it would be my duty as a well armed citizen to organize a militia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Militia) and DEFEND my RIGHTS, PROPERTY, AND WAY OF LIFE!!!!

One man made a difference. His name was George Washington. He had a lot of help.

If the Fascist let loose the Dog of War on the people, then it is up to the “people” to fight back. If there is no fight, there is no freedom.
The people in Louisiana that gave up their weapons are a prime example of the willingness and brainwashed attitude that the Government knows best. The Government is going to “GIVE ME” (insert whatever here) ie… safety, money, freedom. I don’t want Government freedom, I want freedom from Government. The 14th amendment of the Constituion line 1: " border="0" alt="" />No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law". I secured my property and family with food, water, and ammunition as others evacuated the Gulf Coast. I prepared my home for the very worst. The Sheriff and Constable came by, checked on our position and left. We were safe and needed no “help” from the authoritarian. Without a warrant he would have been a trespasser/looter in my eyes, and would have been treated as such had he not identified himself properly.

So, I know it sounds like a movie, or maybe a crazy story of the hold out guy who’s been stuck on the hill too long, but if the fancy cars/trucks pull up outside… and the round up of the citizens starts… then that makes a target rich environment.All the training in the world and all the $200,000 thousand dollars a year volunteers don’t mean crap when a well placed shot from a secured location zips through an eye socket.

Any Government not scared of the people is a Government with too much power. Government contracted thugs can do it over-seas. If it happens here, we-as citizen soldiers- should be prepared to defend against all tyrannies pressed upon us.

Choose your career wisely. I gave eight years to the service. I chose a career in Family after that. I am still a soldier, a citizen, and a believer in liberty. Professionalism does not ensure Honor. Honor is a choice.

BTW…I don’t believe BW is cool. I believe they are a bunch of lost soldiers looking for a club. They should have donated time to the scouts, or re-enlisted….

The bad side to this is BW people are much better trained/experienced than most of our NG and local law enforcers. I'll put my money on BW any day against NG's on a government budget and the junk equipment our government gives them.
