Wal-Mart and the cart Nazi...

I routinely buy my .223 amd 9mm ammo at Wal-mart. Everything else i reload.

The typical encounter is:

"Do you have any CCI or WWB 9mm ammo?"

W-M "uh, I don't see any"

me "It's over there, under the shotshells.....See it?"

W-M "Oh, Yeah...... 'pulls out 1 box' , Will that be all?"

me "No, how much do you have?"

W-M "I have 4 boxes of the value pack, and 2 of the CCI"

me "I'll take em all" " Give me a box of .40 S&W too"

W-M "Gee, are you going to start a revolution?"


me "Oh no, I have my .308 for that"

That is pretty funny because that is almost exactly they way all my trips to Wal-Mart go. The regular guys know me now so they just ask "how many".

mullanman, Hey Doc, you haven't by any chance been to the Belen store recently, have you?. Went yesterday to stock up on 9 and they were cleaned out! 2 boxes of Winclean 115 was all that was left. I will sure be glad when they finally get the Socorro store opened; this 100 mile round-trip to buy ammo sucks!

Snakeoil is right!! Do we keep going there cause they move into town, put the little guy out of biz, and then they are the only ones to shop from?????

I hope walfart don't go out of biz, cause then all the welfare illegal alien trash will start shopping where I like to shop...............at least in my area!!


heck last time I tried to buy wwb there, I waited with 3 other people for help in sporting goods and the only one that would come back there did not have a key..........we all walked away, and I haven't been back.

I live in a very small town, 45 miles to next nearest shopping. I for one will be VERY glad to see Wal Mart come to town! The local grocer is at least 20% higher than Wal Mart; the only place in town to buy ammo is the lone gun shop ($25 for a box of 50 9mm, $350 for a Yugo SKS). Bring on the competition!
Oh, BTW, the local grocer has RAISED their prices since Wal Mart started construction. Trying to gouge to locals for all they can get before the ball drops?
