dune buggy madness!!!
Ok this one is kinda for the LEOs out there.
my friend just bought a brand new beautiful 4 seater dune buggy. great motor brand new paint a sweet little surf board for a roof.(its strapped on just for looks). lights and blinkers, all gauges work...AND YET we got pulled over...while going well within the speed limit....4....yes FOUR times within like 4 hours...just drivin to go eat and to a couple friends houses. each time we were obeying the law 100% had our seatbelts on and were most definatley not speeding. yet they said and i quote... 1. "going a little fast" bull 2. "didnt notice us using our blinker" are you kidding me?!?! 3. "just making sure everything is legit" again....are you kidding me?!??!?!!!!! 4. again...."going a little fast" we got zero tickets and they walked off after a 'painless' 10 minute check on registration license and insurance....and everything checked out. but cmon...whats the deal? i just was not amused |

arkansas in a town of like 3k people in it.
some might call it a rail or cage buggy....pretty much all steel cage....even wraps motor with steel cage. and wheels are half exposed. and its blue. all i know is that it is registered and legal to use on every road in america...its insured and has proper registration....so what does it matter the color and if its steel? its completely road legal |

It's a vehicle you cruise around in to get attention, and attention is exactly what you got. When you drive something that says "LOOK AT ME" it doesn't just apply to pretty girls. The same holds true for anything like that. I guarantee you that people who drive Ferrari's and Lambo's get pulled over ALL the time.

Just curios on style. Like he says seeing something that normaly onthe road is going to get the cops attention And red is even worse it attracts your eye easier then say white or silver.

Well once every cop in town pulls you over, they'll all know it's road legal. Then they'll have less reason to pull you over, unless you're speeding or whatever.
Carry a GPS with you, and leave it running (records speed). Might help if you ever have to go to court.

why is it that when ever a post like this comes up it is always the citizen's fault, and the LEO are never wrong. does he not have the right to go around town in a legal vehicle without being harassed? it is disturbing to me how some people always bow down to the cops, and blame it on joe citizen. it is sickening really. why do you all hold cops in such high esteem. they are humans and are not above anyone else, just because they have a badge. that is like telling a rape victim she/he was asking for it. you were in a flashy car, you were asking to be harassed by the cops............makes me sick.

Where there plates on this vehicle? If this vehicle met the legal requirements, and no illegal activity, there is absolutely no reason you should have been harassed period.
