DIY Slide Refinish?
Going to refinish the slide on my PF-9. First time I've done this. I'm all setup with a media blaster, and airbrush with K-Phos, and some black moly resin. I've got the application routine down but have some questions on prep. Do you mask off any areas to prevent extraneous crap (blast media or paint) getting in certain areas? Thinking places like the striker pin hole, breech face, hammer slide, or extractor slot?

Not sure, but I would keep Media and paint/coating out of the inside areas of the slide.

Nope, just blast it and then wash is real well in hot soapy water. Take it out, blow it off with a air compressor, heat it in the oven and spray it. Be sure to wear rubber gloves to keep the oil from your skin off it.

What about the paint spray? I plan on doing the underside as well. Do I need to at least cover the firing pin hole? Seems like I don't want paint in there.
