WallyWalk Complete

Well, I just checked my mail a couple hours ago, and my CCW was there. So I had to do the WallyWalk.

Equipment: XD40Sub in a Super-Tuck. Bluejeans and a button down shirt, untucked.

Step 1- Men's Clothes to pick up some under-shirts. My Super-Tuck was digging into my love handle something fierce.
Step 2- Sporting goods, to buy some ammo (and joke with a customer and the cute chick working the counter)
Step 3- Wandered around the store for a while. Grabbed some paper plates from the top shelf, right next to an old lady. Either it didn't show, or she didn't notice or care.
Step 4- Nachos. There's no place to get nachos at this Walmart (Spring Mountain and Rainbow), so I went to Panda Express instead, and ate outside.

About 8-10 teenagers came out there too a few minutes later, and none seemed to notice anything was up. As far as they cared, I was just some guy eating his orange chicken and playing solitaire on a PDA.

They were playing some music and when the song got to the part where he says "I've got a gun," they all were saying, "Yeah, I've got a gun too." Had to resist the urge to say "Me too. Wanna see it?"

The best part of it is that I'm working right now (field service tech). I just haven't had any service calls come in all night, so I've been sitting around waiting. I actually got paid to do my WallyWalk.

ATM's. I get Wells Fargo's, some credit unions in Walmart/Albertsons/Lucky, and a bunch of the ticket redemption machines in the casinos.

It's been a slow week. Everyone that wanted to come to Vegas right around now, came for Memorial Day weekend (I was off Sun/Mon). The machines kept breaking like crazy then from overuse, but it's been slow since. I'm glad I'm guaranteed 40 hours pay per week, regardless how much I actually work. This is the second night this week with nothing for me to do.

Ah yes, the life of a field service geek! I was one once, back in the olden days when a beeper was only for doctors and service geeks. Congrats on your Wally Walk and watch your back when you are working on those machines.

Around Dallas the new past time is driving through store windows, wrapping a chain around the Triton ATMS and petal to the metal.
Creates lots of service work but not very smart, they rarely actually get to the money. Seems it's a big red flag if there is an ATM spark o matic bouncing down the road behind your stolen SUV.

It is kind of a heady experience the first time you carry concealed. Congrats on finally getting the license in your hands.

I've gotten so used to being armed all the time that I don't even think about it anymore. A few times I've noticed that someone saw my gun, but there was no problem. Since I'm an old fat guy with white hair and was with my wife, I suspect they didn't expect criminal activity.

I refuse to believe the cute chick without pictures.
After a year of ccw I still find my self reaching for stuff on the upper shelf with my right hand. I have never flashed anyone that I know of. Well accept for my first trip to TX when I walked out of the gas station restroom with my shirt tucked behind my gun. OOPs and no open carry in TX.
