what is a basic insult as opposed to a complex insult?

how is an explaination to a word (communication) an "insult to vocabulary"(?); when vocabulary, being a word, has an explaination itself?

So...the word vocabulary told you it was insulted? I insulted a word once. I can't tell you what word, though. Ever since I insulted it, it struck itself from my vocabulary. Now if your entire vocabulary, and not just the word itself, is insulted, you could find yourself in quite a predicament.

Communication:
7% are the actual words
38% is intonation, volume, and sounds, which is called vocal communication
55% is body language

"An insult to vocabulary itself" implies "an insult to one's knowledge of English vocabulary."

The explaination of the definition of "communication" to adults is like explaining that "a trigger makes a gun fire" in the XDtalk forums; it's obvious, it's condescending, it's insulting. (it would also be an insult to gun owners and gun rights, or more simply put, guns in general)

It's not complicated.

yes its obvious, but its not condescending... how can something that is obvious be condescending?
