I'll insert random questions in english sometimes, they trip up and switch to english by mistake and the secret is out! Not that I believed them in the first place. It's usually pretty easy to tell which ones speak english and which don't by watching for who is listening to conversations in english going on in the room. Especially if you are talking about them without mentioning their names, pointing to them, or acknowledging them in any visible manner and they seem to perk up when their case is being discussed. Another good way I've learned is to pretend you're terrible at spanish and after a few "misinterpretations" by you they'll happily talk to you in english. |
