Crichton's "Andromeda Strain" on A&E
We just watched the first part (two parter) of Michael Crichton's "Andromeda Strain" on A&E (regular and HD)... second part to be broadcast tomorrow (Tuesday).
Both first and second parts will be rebroadcast. Part 1 will be replayed at 6 pm (CT) before the premier of Part 2 at 8 pm CT. If you are an SF fan, do not miss it... really good... light years better than the original 1971 flick... and I really liked that movie.

Never saw the original (born about a decade after it was released
 ), but this one was pretty well done for a TV movie. The gas can/chainsaw sequence was pretty intense. I plan on tuning in tomorrow for 2 of 2.

I'll have to catch it on DVD, but I too enjoyed both the original flick and the novel.

i'm a little peeved that they split it into 2 nights....only to play both the 1st and 2nd parts back to back tonight.....err....why did i watch it and get th cliffhanger last night when i could've watched it all at once....sigh.....
