Yes. I remember reading a post on here almost a year ago about how a firearm instructor got owned by a CTC Junior employee (she didn't know he was one) because he could aquire targets faster.

The question is, if you have to choose between ammo and it then I dunno, but if you have the money go for it for a carry gun. It will decrease target aquisition time. I would think the big benefit would be if unable to form a proper stance and firing one handed (say your on the ground with the person on top of you/ multiple assailants knocked to the ground, having to fire left handed due to they have a grip on your right hand.

Everyone with a laser dot sight that I've seen at the range have to keep wiggling their gun to get the dot on target. You're controlling the movement of a dot 7-10 yards away with wrist movement. It is common to overcompensate as you're used to moving your wrists by a certain amount to line up the sights. A dot far away tends to jump too far with the same movement. Often it takes less time to just aim with your iron sights.

I believe lasers are for quick target acquisition and for the psych out factor more than accuracy ... I could be wrong

I love my CT on the XD. Only issues I have with it is that in broad day light you cant see it and I sighted it in at 7 yds so inside that its going to hit left and outside it will hit right. This is because the laser originates on the right side of the weapon and not from the center line.

But as prop said it could be more beneficial in some situations to use the irons. IMO lasers are just another tool to make your weapon work in diff situations they are not an end all.

IMO like the side rails on an AK47. You should measure the distance to the bore, and put the laser that far off always regardless, so its universal no matter the distance, it will be close enough for a kill, but far away the other manner could prove insufficient.
