This is bad...really bad!

Expert: Gallon Of Gas Could Reach $15 - Money News Story - KXAS | Dallas

What are you going to do if this happens, financially?
We're already cutting out our home phone and just going cellular.
Also, we're going to go to a cheaper Internet rate. You?

Well my first step would be to buy a diesal. Last year I helped a friend get a bio diesal set up going. Cost under $1,500 for everything. We put a meter on it and calculated that it was costing .70 per gallon including all electric to make it. It would only turn out 50 gallons at a time and took a few days, but it paid itself off in no time.

I'm not too worried about it, there is nothing I can do about it, and I have a pretty nice bicycle.

THATS AWESOME!
lets put out a story and create more panic, that way we can justifiable raise the price of oil, and gasoline..

this is rita all over again, they media used its outlet to create such a frenzy the the sheeple paniced and hauled a$$ and then got stuck in traffic.

i like how teh oil co's were telling congress how to drop the price, and they got bawled out over it. why is drilling our coastal areas so damned evil? i mean hell didnt cuba get china to drill off their coast....

15?

15?! Try 25 minimum. (I hope I'm wrong) And I hope people as a collective wake up long before then and start pressuring the government to ignore the oil lobbies and start advocating electric cars as well as solar and wind electric generation which can work and break our dependence on oil period.

Other experts are predicting a catastrophic fall for oil to around 80 dollars a barrel sometime this summer. The price is elevated due to speculation and could easily plummet. Once it starts a fall, the piling on will make the resulting drop in price steep.

Bottom line, no "experts" know what will happen, and I would like to think that the morons would wake up before 15 bucks a gallon and jettison the elected officials who have led us to the brink of this disaster. When your failed economic tax and spend policies and placing some money making "green" inititives for your business buddies ahead of promoting the general welfare continue to fail eventually even the great unwashed will figure out that something aint working.

What will i do? What can we do lol....to survive we have to work and make money (although the margin of expenses to savings will shrink). I will probably get something more efficient, like a motorcycle or something.

Either that or start stealing gas with my AK in hand and 1911 on my hip....criminals have been doing it for years

If that DOES happen (and it could if Obama/Hillary make in into office and they take big oils profits)...I will trade my dirtbike and ATV in for a nice efficient street bike and use that as my commuter vehicle. Seriously! The Tundra will be kept only for hauling and weekend jaunts or might get traded in for a 4 banger Colorado!

I think you'll see many other things in our society come unravelled before gas gets that high.

I just wonder at what price point will people, in large numbers, demand that govt. loosen up on restrictions for oil companies to drill and produce it all right here in the USA. 5 bucks? 7 bucks a gallon?

...whats the majic number?
