There should be something done about folks the gamble on petroleum futures. Using a commodity that is key to the function of our country as a game is not wise IMHO.

Anybody catch the new footage of the oil companies being taken to task about profits? They were taken to task back in the 70's and in the 80's....it never works. When you have CEO's leaving with $400,000 packages and stock options....well..

Cheers
Mac.

at $15, there will be a lot more crime. $15 would put food through the roof and i think there would be lawlessness. Yes, get your "assault rifles".

Headlines are suppose to sell papers. Good news doesn't sell. Plus think how good you'll feel if gas only goes to $10 per.

I am the transportation manager for a local oil company. I personally wonder when tankers will be routinely hijacked and when TSA will mandate armed escorts in the trucks. At $10.00 per gallon...I could see that happening.

Cheers

not likely, but if it did happen, we would have more problems on out hands other than how to get to work. i drive a patrol car all day at work. who is going to pay for that? there would be no more patrolling!

Don't laugh, but this is what the wife uses mainly during the summer. Runs the kids to school, practice, goes to friends houses, and best of all, it is electric. We live in a gated community, so golf carts are normal. The wife will even take it outside to the grocery store. SO far, she has been chicken to use it in the drive thru's at the local coffee place or DQ, but I see that coming.

"Slightly modified" to run 25mph on flat, 30 going down hill. Has a Cd player, Sirius radio, lights, mirror, and a 5" lift. Depending on how much the wife runs during the day, it cost between $.40 and $.70 to recharge it.... I can't start my F150 for that amount.

It would only turn out 50 gallons at a time and took a few days, but it paid itself off in no time.
I have several friends doing it with Diesel Luv trucks.

It is all good until the price of the ingredients goes through the roof. Now, the restaurants think they are sitting on gold with their fryer grease and are selling it, and no longer giving it to any taker.

BioDiesel is like anything else. It is great when you are one of the few that does it. Once everyone else catches on, it gets too expensive to do.

Our city is already crying about fuel costs for Cruisers. They want more tax. Not really feasible when the citizens are getting stuck with higher bills for everything else.

Oh well, I have my own security covered. Now, if we could just pass that dang castle doctrine bill. LOL!
