? about refinishing wood gun stock.
I recently bought Birchwood Casey's Tru Oil and used that to refinish the stock on my AK. It is pretty much dry but the wood reeks of the oil and frankly, I don't want to put my cheek on that stuff. Should I finish off the wood with another product or should I stop being a sissy and oil my face up?

Too late now but I used Linseed Oil to refinish a rifle stock a couple of weeks ago. Doesnt smell too bad after it dries.

No, I just picked up the Tru Oil from Walmart's sporting goods section. I didn't see any wax from Birchwood Casey. I'll have to hunt and see if I can find some in town.

After a super effective and brutal method of cosmoline removal (which was fast and clean, do a search here if curious), I used Tung Oil to great effect and now have a beautiful stock that is water resistant and cheek friendly with no smell or greasy residue.
