I got the XD and he got the shaft!

So in February my husband bought 2 guns, his XD and my Ruger 22/45 MkIII. We went shooting together and my Ruger was acting weird. The trigger pivot pin kept working its way out every 300 rounds or so. I would push it back in and keep going. I ran through about 2700 rounds that way. Then he decided to take it apart and fix it. Somehow things got mucked up and we decided to send it to Ruger to get fixed once and for all. Little did I know that it is 6-8 weeks before they would even look at it much less fix it! So now I have no gun for the steel shoots that we run every month. We decided we would order another Ruger 22/45 MkIII for Mother’s day. I would have a gun to shoot and he would take my old Ruger when it got back. Well, there was a delay in shipping and it will not be here in time. We went shooting on Wednesday and he got out his Para to shoot with and handed me his XD. So now I have an XD and a Ruger on the way and he has a broken Ruger and his old gun! Ha-ha! Great trade if I do say so myself!

That's an easy fix on the 22/45. Had one doing the same thing. Took about 3 minutes to fix it. Just one leg of a spring on the wrong side of the pin.

There is no bad trade in that mix of pistols, especially within family. Work out the finer details late at night.
