Wanting a XD9mm
I am really leaning toward's buying a XD 9mm, but don't know which model to get. I have a XD4 5" Tactical already but was thinking of getting a 9mm with a shorter barrel. Maybe a compact model.
My question is this: Which model would you guy's recommend.

My most recent purchase was the XD9SC for concealed carry. Give it a look.

I'd say the subcompact. The shorter barrel has a negligent effect on accuracy, and with the extended mags you get the benefits of a full size grip. It's sort of the best of both worlds. Small for if you want to conceal, yet can go larger for range use.

My vote is for the service model. Great to shoot, compete with, and not too hard to conceal.

I've got the service, right balance of barrel and grip, and i carry mine concealed almost daily with no problems. I didn't like the stubby grip on the SC...so service gets my vote.

I've got a service and a subcompact. Honestly, I like the subcompact WAY better. It just feels more balanced, and I shoot tighter groups with it. If you go with the subcompact, make sure to get the Pearce grip extensions.
