I was about to suggest eye drops. From the sound of your daily activities and you are firing in doors you might benefit from by assisting your tear duct. I shoot out doors and on windy days my eyes blur sometimes from the volume of air movement and a couple of drops seems to take care of it.

I notice that when I shoot, I don't blink enough - and my eyes get dry and then the contact gets stuck somewhere on my eye where its not effective (ie: I am not looking through the center).
Most effective solution: Laser eye surgery. However, I would imagine eye drops would help in the more near term.

I had the same issue. Focusing on the front sight of my XD was difficult with my contacts in. I just got my gun back with Truglo Tritium sights. All I can say is "Damn". I've got no excuses now. Those things practically slap you in the face when you look at them.

Been wearing contacts since high school and I am now 42. Only time that I have had problems is in high wind conditions or at one indoor range, the air system sucked and there was enough junk in the air to turn a white shirt brown. Try the rewetting drops...it might help.
