Decided tonight that I wanted some bad pizza, so went to Cici's. There were a two couples there with thier brood who were running all over, squeezing between tables, making a mess at the buffet line. You know, acting like little cretins.

What the hell is wrong with people? Do they not pay attention to thier little brats or just not care that they are bothering other people. If I had acted that way my behavior would have been met with a "Sit down and shut up or we are going home" followed by a butt beating if needed. Do people not even try to discipline anymore?

I see it all the time. I think some parents just stopped trying.

Don't stifle the little dears by actually making them learn obedience and requiring common courtesy in a public place. That's sooo narrow-minded.

It's everywhere, not just Cleveland or DFW, but everywhere. That is one thing that I can not stand. I never want to be those parents with those kids. Every kid acts up every now and then, but damn I see some that are downright unbelievable and the parents do nothing. It makes me sick.

That's because if they beat some sense into them, they'll go to jail because some liberal namby pamby will report them. You can't even spank them at home good. Day care/school sees even a hint of a mark, DCFS shows up.

there are way too many kids running around from parrents that just should not have reproduced.

Idiocracy scares me. I thought it was stupid the first time I watched it, but the more I watch people the more worried I get.

Sometimes embarrassment helps. Next time you're in this situation, say something - to the parents or, within earshot of the parents, to the kids. You'll be surprised how often it can snap the parents back to reality to have someone say something about - or to - their kids.

'course this presumes that they're functioning with a modicum of common sense and can actually realize what it is you're saying.
