I clean my mosin everytime I shoot it, usually within 2hrs of shooting it.....corrosive ammo

My AK somewhere around 500 rounds or so

My Ruger Mark I and my 1911 every other time out shooting.

My XD40 I used to clean it every other time out shooting, but its been about 2300 rounds since I cleaned it last. After reading the torture test the XD went through I'm trying to see how long it will go before I have any type of malfunction. So far nothing, shooting a mixture of FMJ, JHP and SW.

I clean mine about once every couple months. Shoot about 50 to 100 rounds a week so I guess I clean mine once every 500 to 1000 rounds. Boresnake the barrel, spray out the innerds with gun spray (break cleaner), oil and grease with Militec.

I clean mine after every trip to the range. not that I really think it needs it I have just always cleaned my guns after shooting.

i clean mine after every time i use it. I probably don't need to clean it that often, but i shoot corrosive ammo in my Mosin, so i figure while i'm cleaning that one i should clean them all.

My usual routine for cleaning the XD is 1)breakdown 2)toothbrush dipped in Hoppes no. 9 scrubbing down the outer barrel, inside the slide, inside the frame. 3) scrub inside barrel with bore brush and let soak. 4) use patches and wipe up the hoppes, then patch down the barrel until it comes clean. 5) oil the moving parts 6) done.

i clean every gun, everytime i shoot them. except for the AK. i have cleaned it twice in three years, thats about 3500 rounds and two cleanings.

There was a range gun..XD9 Subcompact, before it was stolen, it had OVER 400,000 rounds through it, and it wasnt cleaned once, still fired fine.

Gotta love the XD

I clean my XD whenever I shoot it. I will clean my XD once a month when I haven't shot it in a while and it starts to get dirty from CC. I'll clean my 870 when I think it is too dirty. I last cleaned it after I dumped 300 rounds through it in a weekend, and it got dropped in the mud, then the river. It was time.

If I buy an AK I may never clean it.
