After every use.

I also like to field strip and unload the mag twice a day just to stay sharp. Either that or I just love it so much I can't stop touching it!

Boresnake after every shooting session. Field strip and clean after ~400-500 rounds. Completely disassemble slide around 1K. Have broken down the grip frame twice in almost 8k rds on my XD9.

These are my loose guidelines. I'll alter based on inspection or laziness. I usually try to start a match with a clean gun

Zing! If I wanted something I had to clean after every range session, I would have bought a nickel plated sissy pistol.

Usually run a bore snake thru when I come home from the range but only do a thorough cleaning when I don't have anything else to do. With slide glide you really don't need to clean much.

I clean mine after every time I shoot. I've heard of people who clean their concealed carry gun every month to clear it of dirt and debris. I will prob do this too once I get my permit. After all, you're life could depend on it one day. If I put hundred's or thousand's of rounds through it in a short time like a week or two, I will fully strip it down and check (replace if needed) the springs and everything. Might be excessive, but I like to clean my guns. I use Hoppes No. 9 to clean it and Rem oil to lube it. Kroil instead of Hoppes if I can.
