I just got mine a couple of weeks ago. Not 500 lbs, more in the 300 range.

They loaded it horizontally in the back of my suv. I got it home, slowly slid it out onto the driveway so it was standing upright, and took it in the house with a heavy duty handtruck (dolly).

The hardest part was getting it up the step from the garage into the house but with two of us it wasn't so bad.

Once inside it was a piece of cake.

Just remember when you lay it in your truck, do not lay it with the door facing down. You could damage your combination dial.

Just find friends and buy them lunch. My dad uses High schoolers from the church occasionally.

OK, got the safe home. It's still in the back of the truck as I did not pull up till a little after 10pm....

I'll call a couple of guys and have it unloaded in the morning.

Thanks for the suggestions all.

600 pounds isnt that bad you just gotta be careful and watch your toes unloading it. I work for a the only full service safe company here in St. Charles and we always tell people, "it might be a pretty penny to have it moved by us but the ER wont let you through the doors for less than what well charge you" and thats a fact. When you get it inside your house if the quarters are too tight to wheel the safe on a dolly then set it down on a old tuff blanket and slide it where it needs to go.

All will be good. I'll get two guys to help me that are much stronget than I am.

There is plenty of room downstairs, and that it is a few feet inside the sliding glass door there should not be a problem with it.

I'll post a pic today when I have it all set up.

Get a dolly and strap in on the safe, then load it on the trailer that way all you do to unload is just walk it off the trailer.I paid a moving company $150 to pick up and deliver my safe inside my home.I didn't want to get a back injury.

When I picked up my Canon safe, I had them leave it in the box and slide it on its back into the back of my pickup. Then I unloaded it (by myself no less) to a standing position off the bed. I used a heavy duty appliance dolly with a strap then moved it into my walk-out basement garage and into my family room (again, by myself). No issues really but it was certainly heavy!
