Question about LTCF/CCW, need info fast.
I posted this over on my PAFOA account too, but I need as much info/insight as I can get. So here goes.
I've finally got my paper work in order. going to go hand in my LTCF papers tommorow. Quick question, when I was in high school, i got in a fight, and had to do like 20 hours of community service, and upon completion it was dismissed. I cant remember if this was when i was 17 or 18. I wasn't charged with a misdemeanor, it was just some type of infraction of a local ordinance or something, probably disorderly conduct. to give you better insight, they were going to make me pay a fine of 500 dollars or 20 hours of community service. I decided since I made the mistake, I would man up and do the community service instead of having my parents pay for my mistake. So I completed the community service within a month, and so it was dismissed. This only went to the local magistrate, not the court of common pleas. this was 5 or 6 years ago now.. Anyways, my question being, would this disqualify me from obtaining my LTCF>? Thanks for your help everyone!! |

Wont be an issue. Only if you had been convicted of domestic battery or felony charges.

they might spot check and ask you about it, but unless you flip out in regards to it it won't be an issue.

yeah your right guys, thanks. i just looked over the paperwork again and i'm not flagged for any disqualifiers. Most of the offenses that disqualify are felonies, and a handful of habitual misdemeanors. Local infranctions dont count

yeah pretty much if your able to legally purchase a firearm then as long as you go through the proper class you should be able to get your ccw. i had an old thing similar to that and it never even came up
