weapons ban question
I searched but didnt find the specific answers so lay off!! jk
What happens when I buy an AK a split second before the communist(hillary) or the secular messiah(barak hussein obama.....thanks national review for the term) gets into office and bans them, and then i shoot and tag a deer with it? |

....well at that point they are "collectors items" right? as long as they are un-loaded they are legal....thats the understanding i have of the wording.
but as for you shooting that deer....im not sure

That depends on a) whether the DC case goes all the way with defining infringements beyond a complete ban or not, and b) assuming doesn't go well for gun owners, what are the details of the ban.
I believe during the Clinton AWB, you were allowed to own and shoot a rifle deemed to be an "Assault Rifle." However you were no longer allowed to buy or sell one. But what do our future "representatives" have in mind for us? Who knows. |

One more point - don't be deceived in thinking the president has no affect on this subject. True, the president cannot unilaterally write and impose legislation. However the president can challenge lawmakers to pass sweeping "common sense" gun laws. If the president has the support of the house and senate, you would be surprised at what's possible. I would guess the DC ban will not be decided SCOTUS in such a way that prevents microstamping of ammo, microstamping required by firearm manufacturers, mag capacity limits, AWB, ...

thanks guys...i didnt realize that before you could own and shoot but not sell...
but for now lets just hope and petition that it doesnt happen at all. by the way...here i come Romanian WASR 10!!! |
