What people dont realize is when you give someone the access to make a deposite, you give them access to withdrawl too. If there is every an issue, they have your money immediately.

Ill take paper please!

I keep close tabs on every penny that goes in and out of my account...I dont think it works that way though (withdrawls...), to withdrawl from a checking account you need a check or card number...and the irs has neither, only the account number.

I think the reason the rapid refund people get a check is because that is sort of like a loan in one sense. H&R Block are giving you their funds based on your return. That is why they charge a nice chunk of change to do the rapid refund. When your return is finally paid by IRS it goes to H&R Block. So if they didn't issue a paper check then the stimulus would go to H&R Block . That is my understanding on how it works.

charlie.45,
I've used H&R before!
Did she get all excited over a return amount, or something.
They usually ask you how you want the funds if you are getting a return, and if they didn't .... To bad for her!
It's not that she went through H&R, it's that she didn't pay attention to the process.

Not the return, that was direct deposited by H&R block, it's the stimulus check that is going to be a check instead of deposited like she thought it was going to be. so instead of getting it today like she was thinking it was going to be she won't get it for god knows how long
