Anybody watching "WarGames" on AMC????
i remember watching that back in the 80's thinking "WOW" at the computer graphics and the awesomeness of the PC war game....the computer with the old school phone modem, and the disk drive that took a floppy the size of an LP record....LOL....imagine playing "Call of Duty 4" back then!!!!!!!!!!!
ahhhh, those were the days.....

Puttin' it on TIVO for the kiddies to watch. I'll probably join in with 'em to. I was just learning to program computers when that came out. Brings back lots of memories.

I have owned that movie on VHS since the day it came out. As a kid that had a computer in 1979, I loved that movie. It kinda scared the $hit out of me a little, and it made me love my computer even more. I had a 110BPS Volksmodem with a "WarDialer", and I used to run through all of the phone exchanges in my area looking for other computers to hack.
I even ran a BBS system off of a single phone line and a 300 baud modem. It was one of the more successful BBS's in my area. God, I miss the early '80's. |
