Makes plenty of sense to me, maybe they need to evaluate whether their "fix" worked

Agreed. Too few people actually paying for their crimes. Too many people not scared to go to jail.(They thinks its a way of living). Make jail miserable again. Use the death penalty and make people scared to do evil. Eye for an eye, hand for a hand.

Actually, in the city of Chicago it has been illegal since 1983 for any Chicago (civilian) resident to own handguns; only guns owned before the 1983 ban was passed can be registered... and they have to be re-registered every two years, otherwise you are fined and penalized, and the guns confiscated... you will never be able to legally replace those confiscated handguns either, if you stay a resident of Chicago.

I am thankful that this liberal haven I live in is atleast a true liberal mindset, where they believe in peoples rights and they let you do as you wish as long as you are not effecting anyone else.
