There needs to be a law!!! Chinese products rant.

As much as I hate government interference and nanny-states, we need a law that REQUIRES labeling and notification of every ingestible product that is made in China. Why our idiot politicians and corporate leaders would allow China to make our medicine and food, is beyond me. If you want to make a laundry basket or a desk fan in China in the name of "free trade" or "competiveness", then that is all good and well.

But, to allow an ENEMY to manufacture our healthcare goods and food is nuts. It seems that every single day there is another case of contaminated food from China. Now, it is medicine. COMMONLY used medicines. I read an article lately that said that 90% of a key component of antibiotics are now made in China! I want to know if I am ingesting their poisons. With food, I can read between the lines on the labels. I can see that DelMonte is grown and canned in California. Where do I read that my blood pressure meds are made? Where do I read where my kids pink liquid penicillin is made?

If they do not care about their own people, why would they care about us?

Here is today's scare....

All I am asking for is a label. Or better yet. Common sense enough to not allow the food and medicine to be made there.

So, we start making all of our meds there, and then one of these days, Taiwain declares independence. We back Taiwan and end up with a war with China. What kind of shortage or "run" on med and food would we have?

I swear, I am rototilling a phuckin garden this weekend. Time to get back to my "roots". No pun intended.

These days, I think you're better off assuming everything is coming from China. Unfortunate, but at this rate, thats's where we seem to be heading.........

I about had a **** fit when my wife bought a toy makeup kit for my daughter from the Dollar Store. Made in China. No way I would let her put on makeup, eyeliner, lipstick, etc. made there. Didn't even waste my lead test kit, just told her to take it back pronto. Hell I think even name brand stuff like toothpaste has been shown to be counterfeit Chinese crap at these stores.

Better take a closer look at those Del Monte cans. Not everything is canned in California.

I have always had this thought that as China gets it hands in everything we consume, especially medicine and now seafood, that they could lace all these with some newly invented, yet undetectable chemical that they have tested on their willing subjects for years. Now that they have all the bugs worked out and can hide it and make it effective, they slowly start increasing the amount and then someday they just walk into the U.S. and take the place as we are all deathly ill from using there products, or they have some controlling mechanism that reacts with this chemical and control all those that have it in their system in some way.

This may be just my brain working overtime, but seems like they have their hands in every part of our lives and along with dependence on them for many products as local vendors are priced out of the market after a while, the threat they could pose is scary. I am sure glad Wally World is a great supporter of US goods. (joke)
