my dad pulled the trigger on my XD-9 one time...

then he drove to bass pro shop and purchased his own XD-9 service (black)

i tried to talk him into a dual tone(black/silver, black/green, black/tan)...but he had to have a black one....so he will pick it up on wednesday.

my brother also purchased his first firearm today..mint condition Sig P225/P6.

he pick's his up on wed also.

today was a good day.

since 12-20-2007 we have purchased 5 firearm's(thats 4 month's)...there are 7 total now.

plus im planning to build my AR real soon, my brother wants to pickup a 12GA, and my dad's girlfriend want's a XD too (i let her shoot it today too)

i know some people have way more than 7 firearms in thier house...but we went from having a .22 and a .30-30 for over 15 years...to all of a sudden picking up a new gun a month.

its exciting to me.

my cousin has a sig p239 .40 cal he initially said my gun was waay to fat since it was not single stack like his sig. Then we compared side to side and from the top, my xd. 45 compact is like 1/8 bigger, what does he do? He goes out and buy one a week later so does his dad.

daggum, i wish my dad would buy himself an XD, my brother and i may have to go in on it together to buy him one. he works oil rigs in deep south texas and sees illegals all the time. they will drag up to the rig and dad and his crew will give them water and something to eat maybe, and then call border patrol. most people say let them go thirsty and hungry but as big and burly of a roughneck as he is, dad's heart is golden and can't stand to see people suffer so.....

but i do wish he would carry for protection from the ones who would do him harm. he really loves the 45's my brother and i have so maybe, when is father's day again? ha, would have to get mom the subcompact 9 for mother's day. nothin says thanks fer puttin' up with me like a new gun!

Great mother's day and father's day presents! My mom doesn't mind (well, ...) me carrying, but she would never. So for mother's day I got her a Kimber Guardian. Hey, it's better than nothin'!

kimber trumps crappy perfume LoL!

my parents think it is a great idea that i am getting my CHL because i worked in corrections for six years and even though i have seen thousands of inmates, you never know when you are going to run into one you pissed off in the joint. would they be willing to go back for something petty a few years ago, maybe, but probably not, but the maybe is what gets you killed.......

northern illinois

its not that bad...if you allready own a firearm.

the wait sucks if its your first firearm.

my brother is going through the 72 hour wait for the first time right now....all he can do is talk about, think about, and research Sig P225's online.

he is gonna be excited wednesday when we go get his new pistol, take it home for a cleaning...then head to the range down the street for an hour or two.
