Very nice. Too bad it will probably cost 20Gs and will be outside of my skill level for a little while.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing!! Expensive, and I certainly wouldn't make this my first bike...

very stealthy, i am not huge into bikes, but i hate all the graphics on most bikes. I like for example exile bikes on biker build off .... lots of bare metal and flat and satin black. No mega bling, no splashy flashy graphics and logos.

"MCN estimates the model would need to be priced around the £10,000 mark to satisfy that requirement."

Today,
10,000.00 GBP

=

19,714.34 USD

That is WAAAAAAAAAY too much for a super-sport liter bike when:

2008 Yamaha YZF-R1 $11,699 0.32 hp per lbs.
2008 Kawasaki ZX-10R $11,549 0.34 hp per lbs.
2008 Suzuki GSX-R1000 $11,499 0.33 hp per lbs.
2008 Honda CBR1000RR $11,599 0.35 hp per lbs.

2010,11,12 whenever this bike exists: 20k-ish, 0.45 hp per lbs. based on their "target" numbers that they're "working towards" of 190bhp/190kg That's a marked improvement over the other bikes.

However, the other bikes exist outside of the racing world and can be bought at a store TODAY who knows where Suz,Yamaha, Kawa, etc will be with their bikes by the time 2010 rolls around... if we were to compare a current (exists as we speak)racing bike from Suz, Honda, Kawa it would blow the pants off of this BMW... current production Honda RC212v's boast 210bhp @ a the skimpy 326#.

Nevertheless, that's a sexxxxy moto. I just don't buy into the BMW puffery.

bmw guys will buy it. BMW doesnt make to many duds, i bet they will make money on it, if not make a name or place themselves near the top ..... if only perceived, like maybe they then come out with a 15,000 model a few years later and its a "bargain" and makes them tons of dough.
