I Work some helly overtime (usually 70-80s/week) to fund it, barely works but it can add up to about one new gun every three months. And I completely agree with the "best" employee stratagy, at my company I am fairly indispensible as I am the only gaurd willing to work some of the shifts and I am known as the flex officer without the bonus because I will come in if able no matter what, now this does have drawbacks...56 hrs without sleep really hurts when you fall asleep standing up and fall on your face though. But the Weapons are worth it.

Have some stuff on e-pay to get some more fun money.

Need to finish my 2nd AR, get some reloading equipment, another gun safe, a 40sc and a 30-06 Savage! And some more ammo of course!

The time you need guns the most is when the government is trying to take them away. The subjugation of a people has always been proceeded by their disarmament.

It brings forth the REAL answer to the original poster's question: How can you afford not to fund your gun habit?

I agree. That is why I am getting everything I really want now even if I have more than I can even use right now.

Just wait 'till january and see how far you get in 09...just make your votes count now and you won't have to worry, but since I personally have no real control over the issue, I need to work overtime like crazy to afford everything I want to do now. So far it's working quite nicely

None of us do. The people have been out of their franchise for as long as any of us on this board have been alive.

Your hobbies can become the reward, you'll enjoy them even more then.

Or, make your hobby, your advocation. Work pat-time at your local gunshop, learn everything that you can from the other workers and the customers. Learn enough that you could replace everyone in there, including the owner, then become one (an owner)!

Either way that you go, it's going to take time, but there is no quick and easy way to realize a goal or dream worth dreaming!

Good luck in your endeavors to satisfy your dreams!
I hear you there on part one!!! For the security company I work for I'm kinda in a satellite location. Most of the company's employees are in Weber and Salt Lake Counties here in Utah while I'm the only SEO in Utah County. The boss is a half hour away and I'm pretty much on my own. So I'm trying to do the best I can in my little part of the company to help everything go better then the guy before me.

Plus I went up earlier this week for some new uniforms and talked to my boss and was told they are going to try to open up two more locations down here in Utah County and that I'd probably be made Senior Supervisor over this part. Actually they are going to want me screening locations and such. NICE!!

So yeah, I hear you there!!!

I save up scrap copper and aluminum off the jobs I do that would otherwise go to the trash. Even scrap CAT5 and telephone cabling which used to be worthless still brings over $1/lb now. After a couple months, I take it to the recycler and usually end up with at least a grand or more in my pocket. The biggest load I've taken in was over $7k which was split between 4 of us. Clean and bright copper is bringing almost $4/lb right now with a load of at least 500lbs. One man's trash is definitely my treasure!

Didn't have to.

Nah....this has been in the works for a while, but now I have a firm deadline. I honestly don't trust McCainiac on the AWB issue, either.
