WTH? Am I just whipped or are you guys in the same boat? WTH is up with having a freakin' bedtime? When the wife wants to go to bed, have drop everything you're doing and go in with her, or the d*mn world comes to an end and she's pissed for friggin'ever. OMG. Good Lord, woman!! Pffffft.

After 37 years I go to bed when I'm ready if I'm ready..sometimes I'm up all night and she sleeps better with me on the couch anyway. haha
However my son's wife is like that, she expects him to drop what ever he is doing and go to bed when she goes..

After 16 years my wife goes to bed when she feels like it and so do I. I'm a night owl and she's an early riser. There were a few discussions about this at first but when she realized this particular battle was pointless she rolled on it. Just like I do on a huge number of other issues. As long as things work out fairly overall it works for us.

I wake up very early and generally I am the one in bed first but we go to bed when we both please. Sometimes she will kindly ask me if I would come to bed and generally I am not doing much so I oblige. The thing that might be a little different though is that I can NOT be touched while I am sleeping. She has her side and I have mine. I can not stand to cuddle and fall asleep. SHe understands that apparently because she is sure not to touch me when im asleep

OP: My wife used to be like that for the first week or so after we got married and I got tired of it so I would go to bed early with her and I would toss and turn and do everything I could think of to annoy her so she eventually stopped caring what time I went to bed.
