Here is a portion of the law in Kansas concerning Alcohol and other intoxicating substances.
75-7c12. Carrying concealed weapon while under influence of alcohol or drugs prohibited; evidence; testing; revocation of license, when.
(a) It is a class A nonperson misdemeanor for a person licensed pursuant to this act to carry a concealed weapon while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or both.

(1) If the alcohol concentration is less than .08, that fact may be considered with other competent evidence to determine if the defendant was under the influence of alcohol, or both alcohol and drugs.
(2) If the alcohol concentration is .08 or more, it shall be prima facie evidence that the defendant was under the influence of alcohol.

In Colorado, it's no guns in bars for civilians, period. Whether you're drinking or not. Whether you have a CCW or not.

If you are drinking in your home and use your gun for self defense. The police and DA will be more likely to charge you with something like manslaughter, but there is no specific law against protecting yourself in your home, if you are also intoxicated.

If you are involved in a domestic violence situation of any kind (even if guns are not involved), you lose your CCW, as well as, your right to own a gun.

Also, if you get a DUI and just have a gun in the glove compartment, then you get charged with felony gun possession, and lose your right to own guns.

It goes on and on.. Bottom line, in Colorado, if you have a gun, then swear off booze.

For a state that has two major breweries, Colorado, is very unfriendly to alcohol.

Can you back that up? I have done a bit of looking and keep coming up empty handed with respect to CCW in a bar.

Honest question.

Take it, or leave it. Look up the laws yourself, or carry in a bar and find out the hard way.

That being said, like the others who have responded, the best policy is not to mix the two. That means no glass of wine at dinner if you want to carry. The life you save may be mine.
As a CHL holder in TX, I know this to be 100% true. (Not that you should question oldfart, of course).

And I agree that mixing guns & alcohol is not a wise decision...

california i believe you can't carry a firearm into any establishment who's primary function is to serve alcohol. So you can carry into places that serve alcohol, but not if thats their sole function. You also can't consume any...

How about some substantiation?

Also, I'd be fine with zero tolerance for CCW, if the same went for driving. You really think a guy with, literally, a glass of wine with dinner, is more dangerous with his concealed weapon than when he gets in his car to drive home from the restaurant where he got the glass of wine?
