Thank you all for your prayers. It is comforting to know that I have a solid Brotherhood right here on XDTalk.

I slept a little last night and my wife slept even less.

When I woke this morning I could not believe my circumstance. I guess it'll take some time to have the truth settle in.

I have no idea what to do next. His wife (whom the family really isn't connected with) wants him to have a military burial, so it sounds as if they have discussed his wishes at some point.

Chad lived his life on the edge and that is exactly the way he went out. He and a buddy had gone out pistol shopping. His buddy bought a new Taurus PT145 (or something like that), had stopped for a couple beers and were headed somewhere else (I haven't pieced that together yet). My bro was on his most recently acquired Harley, ramped it up to near 110 mph according to his friend, got the speed wobbles and it high sided him off and he cartwheeled.

I can think of no more fitting end to his life than this. Sounds crazy, I know, but that was how he was.

If anyone has been through something like this, I would love a PM with some advice on what next...(?)

Mike, I just learned about this. I didn't mean to appear insensitive in my morning greeting to you. I just didn't know what had happened. I am so sorry for your loss. Needless to say you and your family are in my prayers. May Chad rest in peace and may the family find peace and comfort in this tragedy.
