Where do you keep your xd?
Currently I have my XD45 in a safe that uses a key in our closet in the bedroom and these past few days I've been thinking there is no way I could get to my xd in time if I needed it. You see my wife and I live in a one bedroom apartment on the first floor (pros and cons to this) and it wouldn't take long for a BG to get into our bedroom. So I thought I'll just leave it in my nightstand drawer but then I didn't feel too comfortable with that idea. I wanted to have my XD easily accessible and close to me but also somewhat hidden and this is what I came up with.
my nightstand ![]() drawer open ![]() Drawer taken out ![]() and this is where she stays now ![]() I can easily grab my XD with the drawer open and it's not visible when it is open.

I have a night stand next to the bed with a shelf under the top and it sits there, loaded, ready to go, otherwise, it's on my hip or within arms reach.

Always on my hip till bedtime (CC or OC, depending on the situation - OC almost everywhere but work), then in my underwear drawer (dresser is right next to bed).

I don't know some will think this is a bad idea or not, I have mine under my matress at the edge right under me. Between the matress and the boxspring.

Hey buddy I like the idea of your safe but how do you like it? How does it work? Do you have to push down on certain digit buttons to open the safe?

Keep mine in a biometric safe inside closet. Bedroom door is locked and dog is in here with us. I figure if the dog starts barking, I've got enough time to jump out of bed , open closet door, use fingerprint to open safe and then investigate source, all still in the dark without turning on the lights.
