avitar help

i not real smart with a computer although i can get around the forum pretty easy. i would like to set an avitar but i dont have a clue where to start . could someone help with this? didnt even know what an avitar was, had to ask my teen daughter.

Proceed with your cursor to the top left of the
page to User Control Panel (CP). Left click on it.

Your control panel will appear with many,
many selections.

Drop the cursor on down to Edit Avatar,
then left click on it.

There, you will see a few selections;
No Avatar or Use Custom Avatar.

Since you want to use an avatar, you
must left click on that.

Now you have two choices, either enter
a URL to the image you want to use or
Another Website.

Option 2 - Upoad Image from Your PC.

Assuming that you have some favorite Pix,
images, characters or whatnot stored on
your PC, normally under My Pictures File,
you can hit the Browse button and a window
will open whereby you can choose from any-
where on your PC.

Note: The maximum size of your custom
image is 80 by 80 pixels or 24.4 KB
(whichever is smaller).

When you find a suitable image, then it can
be uploaded to the forum to be inserted into
your avatar space.

If you are not familiar with downsizing, cropping
and such, please go to the sticky section and
click on Tom Swifts thread. It will guide you
through an area that you may also not be familiar
with.
