Awesomely Bad Idea!
Ok..who else thinks this is just the most awesomely terrible idea ever?...
On the AR platform instead of like a regular vertical grip, or a vertical grip/flashlight deal...a fully functional 1911 as the grip with a tac light on it!!!! i dont care how many bad scenarios you can come up with i want one!

Funny, i've thought about that before as well. It would be hard for the slide to ride back and forth though...

So what you're really doing is mounting an AR platform firearm to your 1911.

I think they already make a device like that to attach a GLOCK underbarrel like an M203.
I'll try to find some linkage.
