I was shown a gun collection the other day, and I noticed a manufacturer I'd never heard of before: DPI. It looked like a 9mm Sig226 knock-off and it was made in Korea. Who are these guys?

Daewoos are reportedly very good firearms.

They make the guns for the South Korean military.

They look nice. How much do they run? DA/SA trigger only?

I think they're like $350ish for the pistols and around $600ish for their rifles?

You could probably look on GunBroker or AuctionArms or wherever.

It very well could have been a Daewoo DP-51, except I thought they made cars. DPI was etched on the slide with no other clues to the make or model. That's probably what it is.

Nik - I just have to ask... that isn't a girl kissing a hamburger, is it. On another topic - since Rudi left Headline News, I watch FoxNews exclulsively.

Daewoo makes guns, cars, televisions, tanks, ships, semi conductors, you name it. Asian companies in general and S.Korean companies in particular are really diversified.
