Apartment evicts former LEO and Marine for being Victim
http://www.theiowachannel.com/news/4674747/detail.html
Hey guys, please read that story. Its just sickening the way this lady is being treated. Please show your support for her and follow the link to send an e-mail to the apartment company. Its bad enough this company would do this to a normal citizen but its even worse when they do it to someone who has put their life on the line for us as well as the idiots running this apartment. In that story is a link to their website- let them know how you feel. i will post this in LEO talk also. |

Read closer.
"In this case the victim was attacked by someone with whom she had an ongoing relationship and had invited onto our property," "An ex-boyfriend, Tyrone Burks, has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder" I would bet a big wad of cash this is not Tyrone's first attempt to kill her. My guess is the neighbors are sick and tired of listening to her and Tyrone fight at all hours of the night, every night. I side with the complex. |

That's kind of a presumptious statement RockinAR. If you went to jail because you shot a BG, would you want us to assume you did something wrong and was asking for trouble by owning a gun. At least give the lady the benefit of the doubt.

If the apartment managers Husband/Boyfriend visited during lunch and for what ever reason went "Postal" and attempted to kill the Manager would she be fired?
Just because victim knew the attacker and/or invited him over, there is no criminal activity with that. I am sure if she knew she was going to be attacked she would not invite him over. Most attacks are done by someone the victim knew. Does that mean you are at risk of being evicted due to an attack from an acquaintance. No disrespect to any USPS workers for the above "Postal" comment.

I don't think Tyrone all of a sudden went postal. Something tells me there's been a history of domestic incidences there, with the attempted murder being the "frosting on the cake" so to speak.

as for Rockinar, I have stayed out of your past foot in mouth episodes but Jesus Christ!!!! Why don't you keep your mouth shut and let people wonder if you are an idiot. Rather than spouting off and removing all doubt!!! Quote:

Google Tyrone Burks......
http://www.wect.com/Global/story.asp...7&nav=2gQcbSHY Turns out they are co-workers at the Pender County prison. They dated for about 2 years and she (Thomas) broke off the relationship about 3 weeks before the shooting. I think RockinAR is closer to the truth that most want to admit. I doubt the property management company would have evicted her if this was the first incident since she moved there in 1996. Be interesting to see Tyrone's RAP sheet........ Guys got balls though, bailing out of the car at 100+ MPH.....
