I'm in LOVE!
with the new remingtom 770!
uout of the box, ready to hunt! no more trying to get hogs in the 30 yard range and hoping i hit them with 12 ga slug(non-rifled barrels ftl with accuracy) holy crap, i love this new 770. my buddy just bought one, and he sighted it last week.(he bought it in win 270 caliber) what a straight shooter. we only tested to 200 yards, but i was shootin better with this gun than his M1-A 308 with a 10 power scope, fully built. i was going to buy anew welder this week, and just spray and pray next weekend with the shotgun again, but i think ill get more enjoyment out of this new toy than a welder...

I've been thinking about a Remington bolt gun in 30-06, but haven't jumped into the game yet. It's not surprising that it shoots better than an M14 platform, those are pretty finicky and are not all that easy to shoot well. You can spent tons of money on one and miss a small detail and the rest was for nothing.

i want a 270. its kinds the perfect round. stronger than a 243, but nothing more than i need. i mean, ive killed with a 22 magnum before, its all about the shot. but this round will be good for hog, dear, and whatever else is in my sights(cant wait for gator season to open up!) i might get a win 300 mag, but that might be over kill and for hog hunting, ill be shoointg from the bed of a truck that may or may not be moving. so pretty much a win 270 is what ill be looking for.

I don't doubt it, I'm just saying that it is no match for even a mediocre bolt gun.
